CARB EO #: D-595-5, D-595U-6 The AirDog II-5G DF-165-5G fuel system for the 1999-2003 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke replaces the factory frame rail fuel pump. This diesel lift pump mounts to the frame rail using the supplied sandwich plate mounting system. Fuel is drawn in through a pre-filter/water separator (which protects the pump), then pushed out through the included 2 Micron post-filter. Removed Air/Vapor is sent back to the tank through a filler neck return T fitting. This is a 165GPH (Gallon Per Hour) lift pump system for stock to moderately modified trucks that works extremely well with our Driven Diesel Fuel Bowl Delete Regulated Return System. The adjustable diaphragm style regulator on the AirDog 5G allows you to adjust the output pressure of the AirDog up to about 70-75psi, thereby allowing the engine fuel pressure regulator to be adjusted down to about 65psi. This provides about 5-10psi of "Overhead" pressure capability for those time when you are running your hot tune and hammering the throttle. NOTE: Our FASS/AirDog Install Kit is recommended when using this kit with one of our Fuel Bowl Delete Regulated Return Kits.
