Description Vauxhall 2.0L XE TP280bhp Kit TP-KIT-VX-XE2.0L-280 This upgrade represents a progression to a more serious level of engine tune & specification, because of this more care and attention to detail is required when building such an engine. The MBE9A4 ECU has been programmed & is ready to use, however we would recommend a mapping session to fine-tune the engine. If you are upgrading from the TP208kit, it is simple to reprogram your current MBE9A# ECU. This upgrade is most suitable for Gravel &Tarmac Rallying, Sports Cars, single Seaters, Slick shod Westfields and Caterham Type cars for Sprinting, Hill climbing and Circuit racing. This kit incorporates cylinder head work, which has been CNC machined allowing a much higher level of accuracy with race valves of 34mm inlet & 30mm exhaust ( 1mm oversize). This level changes to our own specially designed Omega 2-ring high specification slipper piston and a longer rod, this combination of slipper piston and long rod gives a significant improvement in efficiency due to its reduced friction and rod angle ratio. It allows the engine to produce significantly more performance. The cam design has been extensively tested by ourselves and many of our dealers over a few years before being applied to this TP280 kit. When building an engine of this level of tune we would recommend the use of a dry sump system for added protection, unless class rules prohibit their use.
