Description 1.6L EcoBoost Standard Engine Kit 350bhp MBE-ECO-1.6-KIT-02 The 350bhp kit has been developed using a Turbo Technics hybrid turbo, it is effectively still a standard engine with the addition of this hybrid turbo. The EcoBoost 1.6L SBD 350bhp kit is fully programmed and ready to use. As you can see from the graph below, this specification shows a significant improvement over the standard turbo. The turbo that has been developed and designed between ourselves and Turbo Technics. The exhaust turbo housing has been recast to match the original Fiesta design but is internally completely different to allow for the larger internals. Our aim was to develop a turbo with the highest horsepower level but without lag. We believe we have managed to achieve this and the results from the dyno and drivers that have used the kit prove it. After extensive testing and development on the dyno and in-car, all upgraded turbos are now supplied with electronic actuator/servo control. This has dramatically improved the accuracy of boost levels and the speed of which it can reach target boost. It also makes it makes it quicker to change the target boost curve. The engines are also smoother in power delivery. We have added a set of secondary port injectors, this gave us several advantages; it meant we didn’t have to overstress the DI system, it allows us to control the exhaust gas temperature better and also the ability to produce further power at a later date. The kit comprises of the MBE9A6 DI ECU and wiring harness, the same as in the standard kit with the addition of the port injector rail and injectors that mount between either the standard plenum or aftermarket Jenvey plenum.
